Foodies Rejoice!

Foodies Rejoice!

The Great Perthshire Picnic is one of our highlights of September. It is a fabulous month-long celebration of Perthshire’s finest suppliers, producers, chefs and eateries. With the chance to eat and drink with friends and family – and then eat and drink some more – what is not to love!

Across the region you have the opportunity to visit cafes or restaurants that have been on your bucket list, take a trip to ones you love, learn new skills and meet the chefs and producers behind the food and drink that makes Perthshire so special.

Behind the scenes of The Great Perthshire Picnic is Giraffe, a social enterprise that trains jobseekers that have barriers in the workplace, who make the event a reality. Giraffe embodies the belief of empowering and supporting people to transition into the workplace, providing choices and opportunities along the way. How does Giraffe do this? Well, Giraffe gives work in one of their venues to jobseekers that are in need of extra support. Here they can gain proper qualifications and gain the necessary skills. So really The Great Perthshire Picnic has a great cause behind it.

Need another reason to support The Great Perthshire Picnic? Everyone at Giraffe is a foodie so you will be sure to find an event that fits your palette.
