Commis Chef

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commis Chef at our 4 star hotel in Dunkeld.

Job Type: Full-time.

The Role:

  • To assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of menu items as directed by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef and Chef de Partie.
  • Work with all Chef de Partie’s, providing support to all sections of the kitchen.
  • Maintain and achieve a high standard of food quality, preparation, production and to assist in service under guidance from the Senior Chefs.
  • Ensure all food preparation areas under your control are maintained in a clean & tidy condition, in accordance with the cleaning schedule and complying with all regulations regarding to Health and Safety and Food Hygiene.
  • Maintain clear communication between the Kitchen and other departments.

The Person:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience working within a 4* / 5* star establishment.
  • NVQ Level 1 or equivalent.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Willingness to undertake further training and learn new skills.
