Step out and explore the land that inspired Shakespeare’s Macbeth with local walks from the hotel taking you to the notorious Birnam Oak. Dunkeld Cathedral can be found just a short walk along the river and is a stunning piece of architecture, which still enjoys weekly services.
Blair Castle is the ancient seat of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl and home of Europe’s last remaining private army, the Atholl Highlanders. Our own estate, here at The Dunkeld House, was used as a country retreat by the Earls of Atholl dating back to 1529.
Several of Scotland’s most famous Whisky Distilleries can be found just a short half-hour drive away including the fabulous Edradour, the smallest traditional distillery in Scotland and arguably the most unique, dating back to 1825.
